About Me

Nadeera: As a lecturer I believe that every citizen of the country should be given an opportunity to learn a subject or a discipline of his or her interest at any age with appropriate entry level. Therefore I enjoy being a part of an ODL driven institute and I would love to explore the possibilities of using emerging ODL technique to increase the learner experience. I face the challenge of improving the required skill set of an engineering learner through ODL. I am passionate about researching the uses and applications of crowdsourcing platforms. My research interests include machine learning, data mining, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and user experience (UX). I enjoy learning new things and a huge fan and follower of Josh Kaughman and his book, The First 20 Hours. I spend my leisure time hanging out with friends, swimming, dancing, visiting nature, sewing, experimenting with cooking different cuisine etc. I welcome opportunities to share experiences, expertise and to learn in areas including social media data analytics, crowdsourcing, working with scientists and scholars.
